Phoebe Wall Howard is president of Howard Consulting.

Prior to running an agency, she worked for the largest public relations firm in the country. Howard spent 12 years working in newspapers, magazines, TV and radio. She is an Associated Press award winner and Pulitzer Prize nominee.

As a political editor and columnist for The McClatchy Company, she oversaw election coverage out of Washington, D.C. and Central California and coordinated polls and televised political debates.

She launched the "Quality of Life" public affairs series on Valley Public Radio stations KVPR-FM 89.3 and KPRX-FM 89.1. She is a guest host on KMJ 580, the top-rated radio station in the region.

Before moving to the West Coast, Howard covered presidential campaigns, labor union negotiations and corporate fraud for The Des Moines Register. The state Supreme Court cited her foster care coverage when it overhauled state policy.

Howard began her career at The Arkansas Gazette covering then-Gov. Bill Clinton, death row and natural disasters. While in Arkansas and Iowa, she also worked for People magazine. Howard earned a Bachelor of Journalism degree from the University of Missouri, Columbia.
